Man arrested for allegedly possessing a stolen firearm in east Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Gang Suppression Unit discovered a stolen pistol after conducting a search warrant in east Bakersfield on Saturday, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

On July 20, 26-year-old Manuel Palacios was arrested in the 1700 block of Flower Street. Deputies say Palacios was on post-release community supervision and allegedly found a stolen firearm in his possession.

Palacios was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm and theft of a firearm, KCSO said.
