Carlos Ballarta’s ‘Tlatoani’ comedy tour adds stop to Fox Theater in September

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Rising stand-up comedian and actor Carlos Ballarta’s “Tlatoani” tour is set to make a stop at the Fox Theater on Sept. 28.

Ballarta is a pioneer in Mexico City’s stand-up comedy scene, which began around 12 years ago , as the city’s audiences didn’t really have a palate for the American style of stand up. Ballarta explained during an interview with comic Jesus Trejo.

Throughout his career Ballarta has recorded three specials in Spanish for Netflix. He’s known for his sharp wit, hilarious observations and social commentary. He has successfully toured around the U.S. Europe, Australia and Latin America.

Tickets are available now on AXS.com . This is a Spanish language show. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show will start an hour later.
