If you are wondering how to listen to the Olympics, iHeartRadio has you covered. iHeartRadio is the exclusive audio home of NBC's coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics, so it is the only place to listen to the Olympics stream. The free iHeart app is where to go to listen to exclusive play-by-play action of Team USA . To celebrate, we are spotlighting some of the country's athletes that are vying for gold.

Kamren Larsen , a 24-year-old BMX racer from Bakersfield, California, is set to make his Olympic debut at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. If selected, Larsen would become the first Black U.S. athlete to compete in BMX racing at the Olympics, a distinction he does not take lightly.

Larsen began racing when he was just five years old and quickly rose through the ranks, traveling across the globe for competitions by the age of 12. He turned pro in 2018 and has since achieved significant success in the sport, including becoming the 2024 BMX National Champion, a two-time Silver Medalist at the USA Cycling National Championships, and the 2023 Pan American Games BMX Men's Gold Medalist.

Despite his success , Larsen's journey to the Olympics was not always straightforward. He took a break from BMX racing between the ages of 13 and 15 to play high school sports. However, in 2016, he received an invitation to train at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in Southern California, which reignited his passion for the sport.

Larsen's dedication to BMX racing extends beyond the track. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2022 and enjoys spending his free time with his family and on the golf course.

As he prepares for the Olympics, Larsen is aware of the "huge responsibility" he carries. He hopes his journey will inspire the next generation of athletes to believe that they can achieve their dreams, regardless of their background or skin color.
