Bakersfield College offering free 3 course media literacy certification program

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Students at Bakersfield College now have the opportunity to learn new skills to navigate the latest digital landscape.

BC’s new, free Media Literacy Certificate Program offers the following courses Introduction to AI, Online Safety and Contemporary Issues and Mass Media.

The students who complete the 3-course certification program will be equipped to use Artificial Intelligence tools ethically in both professional and academic settings, work safely in online environments and know how to use mass media sources and understand misinformation.
