Two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash in Baldwin Township on Wednesday, May 22.

Deborah Oconnor-Barrett, 70, of Maple Grove, was traveling southbound on Highway 169 near mile marker 173 at approximately 12:45 p.m. in a 2023 Toyota RAV4 when the crash took place, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The Toyota left the roadway, made contact with a tree, rolled, and came to a stop in the median, the State Patrol reported.

Oconnor-Barrett and Richard Barrett, 79, of Maple Grove, the passenger in the vehicle, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and were transported to M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton for treatment, the State Patrol reported.

No other vehicles or passengers were involved in the crash.

According to the State Patrol, road conditions were dry and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Both people involved were wearing seat belts when the crash occurred.

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office and the Baldwin Fire Department assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
