Early yesterday, the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) swiftly responded to reports of gunfire on the 30 block of Fairmont Street. The incident, which occurred at 1:24 a.m., resulted in officers discovering multiple shell casings on the scene. Despite the evidence of shots being fired, authorities found no victims at the location. CPD announced the incident later that day, but details surrounding the shooting remain scant as the investigation unfolds.

Minn. man pleads guilty in armed robbery case
BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - A Minnesota man pleaded guilty Friday in the armed robbery and assault of an elderly man in Barron in December. Court documents show that on July 19, 33-year-old Ryan Charpentier of Little Canada, Minn., pleaded guilty to armed robbery as party to a crime with an increased penalty for an elder person victim. Charpentier was charged as one of two suspects in the armed robbery and assault of an elderly man in Barron, Wis., on Dec. 19, 2023.

The Benton County Fair is set to start one week from today (June 30) in Sauk Rapids. Benton County in Minnesota is one of 9 states with a Benton County. All are named after the same person. (KNSI) – A high-profile murder trial began Monday in Benton County. Michael Carpenter is accused of shooting a coworker on October 24th, 2022, in the parking lot of a St. Cloud textile factory before their shift started. Witnesses say that they saw Carpenter get out of his vehicle and walk toward the south end of the lot, where he allegedly fired a pistol at 28-year-old Nicole Hammond, killing her.

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (FOX 9) - Two men from Texas were charged after they stole $217k from a Wells Fargo ATM in Brooklyn Park and led police on a high-speed pursuit.
