Union Football to Hold Free Youth Clinic on August 13
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Head Coach Jon Drach announced last week the Union College football team will be hosting a Free Youth Football Clinic to kick off the 2024 season. The clinic, scheduled to be held on Tuesday, August 13, is set to serve the local football community for all campers ranging from the ages of 7-13. A "FUNdamentals" based camp, the football team invites participants of all skill levels and positions. The camp will emphasize the basic football skills of passing, catching, running and defensive techniques, and will include team-building exercises and competition. The camp coincides with the return of football to Schenectady, as preseason practice launches for the 2024 season on August 14. The entire football team will not only be in attendance but will serve as the lead instructors for the clinic.
29 Student-Athletes Receive Long Island Junior Soccer League Scholarships
The Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL), the largest league in the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA), has the largest scholarship program in Eastern New York. The league distributed 29 scholarships at the LIJSL Scholarship Breakfast on Sunday, July 21 at the Huntington Hilton.
