SFSD Employee Fired Over Social Media Post
(Sioux Falls, SD) — An employee is out from the Sioux Falls School District after a controversial social media post about the Trump assassination attempt. The woman has been identified as Cassandra Oleson, who was listed as a Special Behavior Facilitator at Ben Reifel Middle School. She reportedly posted under an alias as Cassie Martin on Facebook, writing, “Shoot – if only he would’ve had his scope sighted correctly,” after the shooting at the Trump rally on Saturday. It was deleted and followed up with an apology before the Facebook page was entirely deleted as well. SFSD received pushback after the post surfaced and quickly fired Oleson yesterday. School district officials cited not condoning her actions and falling beneath the standards of the district.
