Public Information Session To Be Held On Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project

(Photo from MPRP Website) Frederick, Md (KM) A public information session is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10th in Brunswick for the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project. “Basically, what it is it’s to construct an approximately 70-mile transmission route across three counties, starting in northern Baltimore County, through Carroll County, and into an existing station in southern Frederick County,” says William Smith, the Strategic Communications Manager for Public Service Enterprise Group, which plans to construct the transmission line.

Del. Ric Metzgar gets grant for Kenwood's new turf field
Delegate Ric Metzgar was able to secure a $400,000 grant for the board of education of Baltimore County for Kenwood High School’s request for a turf field during the 2021 session of the Maryland General Assembly. This turf field was completed in 2024 and will be used by the football, soccer, field hockey, lacrosse and other athletic programs. Delegate Metzgar is a member of the Kenwood Class of 1973 and is a member of the Kenwood High School Hall of Fame in the government category. His photo and plaque are displayed in the new wing of the school along with the photos and plaques of former Baltimore County Executives Donald Hutchinson, Dennis Rasmussen and others in different categories.
‘Possible break-in’ being investigated as part of Middle River double homicide investigation
(From WBAL-TV 11) Residents in a Baltimore County neighborhood are on edge after a grandmother and her granddaughter were found dead inside their Middle River home. Autumn Harvey, 29, and her grandmother, Iona Sellers, 75, were found dead after police discovered their bodies during a wellness check on Sunday.Baltimore County Police confirmed a “possible break-in” is part of the double homicide investigation, and they’re urging everyone to remain vigilant.

After finding two deceased women in a Middle River residence, Baltimore County police are suspecting the deaths resulted from an apparent double homicide and are investigating the incident. On Monday afternoon, BCPD identified the two victims, who were grandmother and granddaughter. Residents in Baltimore, Carroll counties concerned over proposed powerline project
(From WBAL NewsRadio 1090 And FM 101.5) Hundreds turned out in northern Baltimore County Tuesday for the first in a series of sessions over a proposed powerline project, that many argue will ruin parts of Baltimore and Carroll counties. It’s called the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project. It’s an electrical grid enhancement plan authorized by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and PJM.
