Marcus Williams shares his expectations for the Ravens secondary

The Baltimore Ravens and safety Marcus Williams are entering Year 3 of their partnership. Williams signed a five-year, $70 million mega-contract with Baltimore, and while he’s performed well when he’s been on the field, staying on it has been an issue over his first two seasons with the Ravens.

Williams was asked to share his expectations for the Baltimore secondary in 2024 and mentioned a few key points. He said that they need to find their identity coming out of training camp and bond all over again since it’s a new season.

“We’ve just got to find that identity coming out in training camp; that’s the most important thing – have that good camaraderie. And this is a new year – this is not who we were last year – so now we’ve got to bond over again and reconnect on that level. But I think we’ll be some high playmakers back there, physical guys, attacking the ball and [taking] the ball away.”

Baltimore’s secondary boasts impressive talent, including Williams, Kyle Hamilton, Marlon Humphrey, and Brandon Stephens. They also added rookies Nate Wiggins and T.J. Tampa to the fray, making them even more formidable as a unit moving forward.
