The wide receiver played five seasons with the Texans before snagging a contract with Baltimore in 2012. That season would become one of Ravens lore, as he became the first player in Super Bowl history to score both a receiving touchdown and a kickoff return touchdown in the same game, per ESPN . After winning Super Bowl XLVII with the Ravens, Jones played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the then-San Diego Chargers.
Before his death, Jacoby had been gearing up to begin a new life as a coach after being hired by the Beaumont Renegades for an indoor football league that will begin in 2025. Jones signed on to become the team’s head coach and offensive coordinator.
