CHICAGO — Former Chicago Bears safety Eddie Jackson has reached an agreement on a deal to join the Baltimore Ravens, according to multiple reports.

First reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter and later confirmed by The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiac , Jackson is joining the Ravens on a one year deal. Zrebiac said the team has been in pursuit of a third safety that would enable them to continue moving Kyle Hamilton around their defense.

A two-time Pro Bowler, Jackson started all 100 games he appeared in for the Bears over seven seasons, making two postseason starts along the way.

Jackson recorded 456 tackles (353 solo) with 15 interceptions for 252 yards, six defensive touchdowns, 2.0 sacks, 44 passes defensed, 14 tackles for loss, 10 forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries and one quarterback hit during his seven-year career in Chicago.

The Alabama product was named first-team All-Pro in 2018 and ranks ninth on the Bears all-time tackles list (fourth among defensive backs) and is tied for 18th on the Bears all-time interceptions list since 1970.

The Chicago Bears are required to fully report to training camp by Friday, while the Baltimore Ravens are required to fully report to training camp in Owings Mills, Maryland by Saturday.
