Derrick Henry has a bone to pick with longtime Titans writer Paul Kuharsky.

Kuharsky, who covers the Titans on his own independent site and was previously a beat writer for the team at ESPN, issued a judgy statement about any Tennessee fans inclined to root for the running back after he left for the Ravens in free agency.

“If you root for Derrick Henry to the extent that you want the Ravens to win so much as a game, you are not the #Titans’ fan you think you are. Period. Not up for debate,” Kuharsky wrote on X on Friday morning.

“If they are on the goal line at the end of a game they are trailing by 4, and you want him to score, you are not the TEN fan you think you are.”

Henry saw the tweet and sent a six-word response: “Paul go find something to do.”

Later, Kuharsky explained his rationale given that there’s somewhat of a rivalry between the Ravens and Titans.

Presented with a hypothetical where the Ravens were playing the Titans’ AFC-South-rival Texans, Kuharsky responded , “That’s one game. I’m making perfect sense. Ravens are probably No. 1 most-hated team for vast majority of TEN fans.”

In 2021, the Ravens knocked the Titans out of the playoffs with a 20-13 win in the Wild Card round, avenging a Divisional round game the year before when the Titans won 28-12.

There has been some chippiness when the teams have played each other in recent years, and last year a fight between then-Ravens wideout Odell Beckham Jr. and Titans defensive end Jeffrey Simmons apparently spilled into the postgame after a physical game in London.

This offseason, Henry signed a two-year deal with the Ravens for $16 million, with $9 million guaranteed.

He played his first eight NFL seasons with the Titans, with the highlight coming in 2020 when he rushed for over 2,000 yards and won the AP Offensive Player of the Year.
