Undrafted Ravens receiver who's considered a breakout candidate made 'play of the day' in training camp

Dayton Wade continues to make a name for himself with the Baltimore Ravens .

The undrafted wide receiver out of Ole Miss has reportedly stood out during offseason workouts.

Ravens fullback Patrick Ricard previously praised Wade as a breakout player , saying Wade looked good in drills and went about his business quietly and professionally.

Though Wade seemed to have had a quiet OTAs, he made some noise in Day 1 of training camp on Sunday.

The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec reported that Wade made "the play of the day on Sunday. Mike Preston of The Baltimore Sun described the play as as a tightly covered, 47-yard deep ball from rookie quarterback Devin Leary.

Preston noted that although it was just one play, coaches make notes of plays like the one Wade made.

It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, as Wade showed a propensity for making wild, athletic catches in college.

Wade, who caught 55 passes for 830 yards and 4 touchdowns his senior year at Ole Miss, has an uphill battle to make the 53-man roster. The Ravens don't have much depth at wide receiver , but they also don't have many available roster spots. With Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Nelson Agholor, and rookie Devontez Walker all presumably securing roster spots this year, that might leave only one or two available spots at receivers. Quarterback-turned-receiver Malik Cunningham has also reportedly stood out this offseason and seems like he'll challenge for a final roster spot.

There's a ton of time to go, but Wade certainly seems to have gotten his first NFL training camp off to a good start.
