It was a triumphant return to the big leagues for Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jackson Holliday.

In his first game back after getting called back to the big leagues, Holliday made his mark right away, hitting a grand slam for his first career home run in MLB during the fifth inning of Wednesday's 10-4 Baltimore win versus the Toronto Blue Jays at Camden Yards.

Holliday's home run, which went 439 feet deep off of a slider from Blue Jays reliever Yerry Rodriguez, was caught by 39-year-old Baltimore fan Tim Sartwell and his five-year-old son Wyatt.

“As we’re walking over there we heard the crack,” Tim described the moment Holliday hit the home run, per Sam Cohn of The Baltimore Sun . “Everyone in front of us started moving around and I just see the ball come over.”

But instead of keeping what would have been an awesome souvenir, Tim decided to give the ball to Holliday, who then gave the Sartwells an autographed bat. They also came away with signed baseball cards.

Online, fans have generally positive reactions to the shared postgame moment between the Sartwells and Holliday, who was the top pick overall in the 2022 draft.

    “Such a humble dude”

    “That’s what it’s all about"

“Class act but dam… he could have gotten way more”

    “Awesome moment for all

    “Awesome stuff right there!”

“What a nice moment. What a good dad too. Kudos all around!”
