A child suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday in a crash in Kenduskeag.

Errion Fischer, 33, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt on Route 15, also known as Broadway, about 9:05 p.m. when he lost control and crashed, Maine State Police Lt. Aaron Turcotte said in a Friday email.

The vehicle had overturned and sustained heavy damage, Kenduskeag Fire and Rescue Chief Dakota Bartlett said Thursday.

Fischer and a 3-year-old child received first aid at a nearby home until first-responders arrived, according to Bartlett.

The child was taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor with life-threatening injuries. Fischer also was taken to the same hospital with severe but not life-threatening injuries, according to Bartlett.

Turcotte said the crash remains under investigation and that no additional information was available.
