Leaves fall, school bells ring, it’s time for learners of all ages to begin a new year. Members of Penobscot Valley Senior College are also headed back to class for life-long learning! That means no tests and no grades, just good information and new ideas for life. There are in-person courses, Zoom/hybrid courses, hands-on courses, and courses in the outdoors.

    Courses offered this fall include:

The Political History of the Modern Middle East,

Unmasking the Courts: the Fate of American Democracy in 2024,

    Opera for Beginners,

    Rustic Furniture Workshop

    Beginners African Drumming,

    Cooking for Guys,

Outdoors in the Wildlands of Orland,

    Aging and Spirituality,

Walking with Friends in the Bangor Area,

Origins of the Western Literary Tradition,

    Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Courses begin the week of Sept. 23 and range from 4-8 weeks long. To join the College and to register for courses see the website at penobscotvalleyseniorcollege.org . Our motto is Learning for the Fun of It!
