    Dexter-area school district cancels classes because of ‘specified threat’

    A Dexter-area school district has canceled its first day of classes because of a threat.

    SAD 46 administrators said in a Tuesday night statement that the move to cancel school on Wednesday came after they received a “specified threat.”

    The district canceled all athletic practices and games scheduled for Wednesday.

    No further details were provided.

    The district said that more information would be provided Wednesday.
