A Bangor man allegedly abandoned a pickup truck after it overturned on a Greenville school soccer field.

Charles Martin, 22, has been charged with aggravated criminal mischief, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and driving to endanger, according to the Greenville Police Department.

Martin allegedly drove the pickup truck onto the soccer field at Greenville Consolidated School about 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, causing “significant damage” before the truck flipped onto its roof, Greenville police said.

He allegedly then left the truck on the soccer field, where it was discovered about 6:15 a.m. Thursday.

The truck was towed away with extensive damage.

Greenville police said that Martin is cooperating.

No additional information was immediately available.

And this is exactly why I tried to get the driving age to at least 23 to 24 because stupid people like this keep driving cars or trucks or anything that moves
