Some roads will be closed in Bangor next month so railroad crossings can be replaced.

CSX will be replacing four railroad crossings in the Queen City between Oct. 7 and 10, according to the city of Bangor.

While that work is completed, the roads will be completely closed, so no vehicles, including emergency vehicles, can pass through the crossings, the city said Friday.

Detours may allow travelers access to some businesses.

    The work schedule is:

    — May Street, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Oct. 7.

    — Front Street, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Oct. 8.

    — Railroad Street, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Oct. 9.

    — Waterworks Road, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Oct. 10.

The work on Waterworks Road means that residents at the apartment complex there won’t be able to take their vehicles in and out for the day.
