Police arrested nearly a dozen people during a raid at Bangor’s largest homeless encampment.

That came after an investigation into people allegedly trafficking drugs and trading guns for drugs at the encampment, known as Tent City or Camp Hope, off Cleveland Avenue, according to Detective Lt. Brent Beaulieu.

As a result, police obtained search warrants for three campers there, Beaulieu said Friday afternoon.

The Bangor Police Department deployed its special response team to the encampment because of the suspected presence of guns.

Police descended on the camp beginning at 9:20 a.m. Thursday .

During the search, officers seized nearly a pound of methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine. Along with the drugs, police seized three campers and $4,342 in suspected drug proceeds, Beaulieu said.

    Arrested were:

    — Amy Carver, 31, of Rockland on four outstanding arrest warrants

    — David Carver, 49, of Rockland on eight outstanding arrest warrants

    — Samuel Linscott, 28, of Waltham on charges of criminal trespass and violation of

    conditions of release

    — Troy Bryant, 48, of Belfast for a probation violation warrant for drug trafficking

    — Derek Bryan, 52, of Waterville on one outstanding warrant and refusing to

    submit to arrest

    — Ashley Lynn Mercedes Aquino, 26, of Methuen, Massachusetts, for

aggravated drug trafficking and a probation violation out of Lawrence,

    Massachusetts

    — Leo Ubri Davinson-Emanuel, 32, of Roslindale, Massachusetts,

    for aggravated drug trafficking

    — Joralbert Chala-Diaz, 22, of Boca Canasta, Dominican Republic, for aggravated drug trafficking

    — Heather Hamm, 40, who was summonsed for refusal to submit

    to arrest

    — Tara Fogg, 45, formally of Levant on one outstanding arrest warrant

    — Tabatha Blodgett, 36, one outstanding arrest warrant

The investigation is ongoing, and Beaulieu said more people may be charged.
