Suspect charged in first Flint homicide of 2023 sentenced to prison
FLINT, MI – A Flint man was sentenced to prison time after pleading guilty to the city’s first homicide of 2023. Ryan Lamar Cooper, 32, will serve at least seven years and two months to a maximum of 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter. He has been in jail for more than 1,500 days.

Belvin Jr., 23, on Thursday, July 25, appeared before Saginaw County Circuit Judge Darnell Jackson for sentencing, having pleaded guilty in June to bank robbery.
