    Route 60 reopening after cemetery office building fire

    UPDATE: (6:56 p.m. Tuesday) – Cabell County 911 dispatchers say fire crews have put out a fire that broke out earlier this evening at an office trailer at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville.

    The fire temporarily closed part of Route 60, but dispatchers say the road is now opening back up.

    According to dispatchers, no one was injured in the fire, and crews were able to keep it contained to the one structure. There is no word on what caused the fire.


    CABELL COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – Crews are on the scene of a structure fire at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

    Cabell County 911 dispatchers say the office trailer at the memorial gardens caught fire just before 5 p.m. Tuesday. Dispatchers tell 13 News there are no graves or mausoleums affected at this time.

    The fire response has closed part of Route 60 in Barboursville. The Barboursville Police Department is directing traffic around the scene.

    According to dispatchers, the Barboursville, Ona and Ohio River Road volunteer fire departments are working to keep the fire away from a propane tank near the building. Dispatchers tell 13 News there are no reports of injuries at this time.
