CABELL COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – A Cabell County community will honor the life of a young man who died in a vehicle crash during a visitation Monday evening.

17-year-old Braxton McComas was a rising senior at Cabell Midland High School. He was driving in Barboursville on the 4th of July when police say another vehicle crashed into him. Authorities say the driver of the vehicle that struck him was allegedly drunk.

Another teenager in the vehicle with McComas was injured in the crash.

The driver of the second car, identified as Joshua Wilson, is still in the hospital, according to Barboursville Police Chief Darren McNeil. Wilson is being charged with DUI causing death in the crash.

The visitation for Braxton is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday night at the Lewis Memorial Baptist Church in Huntington.
