    1 injured, 1 charged after shooting at Bardstown home

    BARDSTOWN, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — One person was flown to the hospital, and a man has been charged after a shooting near a home in Bardstown on Saturday.

    According to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO), deputies were dispatched around 12:35 p.m. Saturday to the 5000 block of Boston Road in Bardstown in response to a verbal argument.

    While heading to the scene, officers were told that someone on the scene had been shot.

    Emergency personnel arrived and reportedly began working to stabilize 41-year-old Ashe Lydian, who was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital to be treated for injuries.

    Law enforcement said that during the time deputies were at the scene, 75-year-old Joseph Lydian was apprehended and charged with attempted murder and wanton endangerment.

    LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

    Joseph was lodged in the Nelson County Correctional Center.

    The shooting remains under investigation, according to authorities.
