A 15-year-old boy was stabbed after he tried to intervene in a dispute on a bus in Snohomish County, the altercation escalating to violence in a parking lot off Highway 99 north of Lynnwood, according to local law enforcement. The incident, which took place yesterday afternoon around 1:15 p.m., began when the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Crispin Ellias McFall Oleary, got into a confrontation with the bus driver that was serious enough that two teenagers felt compelled to step in.

Matt Driscoll, a fixture in the Tacoma newspaper community, has died. A columnist and opinion editor for the Tacoma News Tribune (TNT), Driscoll was 43 years old. “The humor, the witty banter, and wry observations are what brought us together,” Matt Driscoll’s wife Jennifer Driscoll told The Tacoma News Tribune. “We really clicked in that way. 100-year-old water reservoir serving Snohomish County to be replaced
EVERETT, JULY 23: Today Everett Water Utility began to replace its 101-year-old water reservoir that serves two-thirds of the Utility’s customers. In Phase 1 Everett Water Utility will construct a new 8 million-gallon (MG) reservoir adjacent to the old one, which is expected to be completed around the end of 2025. The new 8 MG reservoir has a diameter of 220 feet and rises approximately 21 feet above the ground.
