DE GREY, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Robert A. Bartlett, a Corporal in the US Army, was killed in a tank battle shortly after D-Day June 6, 1944. His body was badly burned, and his dog tags were nowhere to be found. So, his unidentified remains were buried in Normandy cemetery. However, in May his remains were identified via DNA and so Corporal Bartlett was disinterred and transferred home to South Dakota.

ABERDEEN — Six individuals and one team will be honored during the 2024 Northern State University Hall of Fame and Distinguished Alumni Banquet in October. The event will take place Friday, Oct. 4 in the Kessler's Champions Club Room in the Barnett Center. The evening kicks off with a social at 5 p.m., followed at 5:30 p.m. by the dinner and program. Watertown man enters plea agreement for one charge of rape & remaining are dismissed
WATERTOWN, S.D.(KXLG)- On July 17, 2024, 63-year-old James Barrett Kaska, a convicted sex offender, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree rape.
