Middle States Reaffirms Ocean County College Accreditation
TOMS RIVER – Ocean County College is proud to announce that its accreditation has been reaffirmed by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), confirming that the College is now in compliance with all seven standards for accreditation: (I) Mission and Goals; (II) Ethics and Integrity; (III) Design and Delivery of the Student Learning Experience; (IV) Support of the Student Learning Experience; (V) Educational Effectiveness Assessment; (VI) Planning, Resources, and Institutional Improvement; and (VII) Governance, Leadership, and Administration.

NJ man admits to causing older bicyclist’s death at Jersey Shore
A Seaside Heights man has admitted to causing the death of an older local man, who was knocked from his bicycle last year. On Monday, 41-year-old Anthony Collins pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the death of 70-year-old Robert May, also of Seaside Heights, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced.

TOMS RIVER — An Ocean County man is charged with running over a pedestrian and driving away, according to authorities. Ganzalo Jimenez-Hernandez, 48, of Toms River was crossing the street in Toms River on Monday afternoon when he was struck by a Ford-150 pickup truck, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

MODC Elects New President and Board Members
Christine Hanlon, the Monmouth County Clerk, recently inducted a new president and board members for The Monmouth-Ocean Development Council (MODC), Wall Township. Thomas Gilmour, founding trustee of the Asbury Park Music Foundation, was named the president of MODC for a two-year term, replacing Matt Appel, Beacon Wealth Partners, who completed his two-year term. Other new executive committee members for 2024 are Charlene Archer, Treasurer; Karen Campi, Secretary; John Casagrande; John LeMay; Steve Reinman; and Linda Savino.
