Swineford waives hearing; invasion of privacy case proceeds to common pleas court
The East Stroudsburg Area School District math teacher accused of recording his fiancée's daughters in his bathroom has waived his preliminary hearing. John Swineford, 43, of East Stroudsburg, was listed online as a math teacher at East Stroudsburg High School South before the page went under redesign. Plymouth man charged with abandoning dog in Wilkes-Barre
WILKES-BARRE — A Plymouth man is facing felony and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges after he allegedly abandoned a dog in Wilkes-Barre. Dennis W. Meekins, 41, last known address as Willow Street, was identified by multiple surveillance cameras as the man who left a dog caged inside a kennel on a sidewalk in front of a house on Loomis Street on July 12, according to court records.

Tyrone Fowler, 50, of Philadelphia, faces charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, according to a news release from the Allentown Police Department.
