4 Metro East police departments will supply additional officers to patrol MetroLink
Four Metro East towns have started supplying additional police officers to patrol around MetroLink stations. Under an agreement reached with Bi-State Development, which operates the region’s light-rail system, and the St. Clair County Transit District, the Belleville, Fairview Heights, Shiloh and Swansea police departments began allowing off-duty officers to monitor platforms and parking lots last month.

LOUIS – Saint Louis University's 2023-24 men's and women's tennis teams have been named All-Academic by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, while 10 Billiken student-athletes (six men, four women) earned ITA Scholar-Athlete plaudits. To be named ITA All-Academic, a program must have at least a 3.2 team grade point average for an entire academic year. Health system based in STL to sell 13 facilities
St. Louis-based nonprofit health system Ascension reached a deal to sell 13 facilities in Illinois. Ontario, California-based Prime Healthcare is buying the properties, including nine hospitals. Prime Healthcare plans to invest $250 million in facility and other upgrades as part of the deal.
