Dartmouth, MA Month-Long Traffic Delays Begin Tonight
DARTMOUTH (WBSM) — Dartmouth will experience some traffic delays and slowdowns beginning Monday, July 22. Eversource will be replacing the gas main from Patton Street to Metropolitan Street. As a result, traffic delays will happen on Slocum Road from July 22 to August 22, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Milford Offers Free Disposal of Old Trash Containers at Transfer Station
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – So now that Milford has moved to a new trash and recycling system, what are you supposed to do with the old containers? The Town says residents who are on the new trash and recycling program can now bring the old barrels to the Transfer Station to dispose of at no charge. They can only be brought to the Transfer Station during normal working hours but there is no charge and you don’t need a sticker. The Transfer Station is open Thursday and Sunday 10am-4pm and Friday and Saturday 8am-4pm.
New Swim School Opening in Milford at DoubleTree Hilton

The British Swim School is a franchised swimming and water survival skill school with more than 300 locations around the US and Canada. A Shrewsbury couple will run the Milford school from the pool at the DoubleTree Hilton-Milford. The Worcester Business Journal reports it’s a true family affair, with their daughter serving as aquatics manager and their son operations manager. You can take lessons in Milford on Monday through Thursday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Milford High Students Write Song to Support Mental Health
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Some Milford High School students are hoping to use the power of music to help those struggling with mental health issues. The students took part in a project from the National Museum of Mental Health and together wrote a song called “What Makes You Well?” Patch reports the four-minute song was written and recorded at Milford High during the late spring Community Songwriting program and it was done in a collaboration between students, teachers, admin, and the district’s Director of Social Emotional Learning.

Attleboro man drowns in Rutland jet ski incident, authorities say
Authorities recovered the body in Turkey Hill Pond on Saturday. A 46-year-old Attleboro man died in a jet ski incident in Rutland on Saturday, Rutland police said. The Rutland Police Department and Rutland Fire Department were dispatched to Turkey Hill Pond around 4:30 p.m. after reports of a jet ski overturned in the water, police said in a statement. Witnesses reported the jet ski’s operator was “in depressed” before going missing underwater, according to police.
