Orlando Hanover, Karatop Mooss and Wavzeka each doubled up as winning horses during Thursday's harness racing at the Barron County Fair.

The county fair, in its 147th year, has had horse racing since the fair moved to Rice Lake in 1899.

The fastest pacing times of the second night of racing came from both Midnight Zen and Sign of the Times at 1 minute, 58 and 2/5th seconds. In the first race with the conditions being non-winners of $925 in the last four starts, it was Midnight Zen, with Aaron Lehman in the sulky, edging Sign of the Times. The same horses were back later in the night with Sign of the Times and driver Gabe Wand taking the win over Midnight Zen in same time 1:58.2.

Orlando Hanover, being guided by owner Jesse De Long, won both trotting events on Thursday as the 3-year-old gelding beat out Wisco on Mission by a narrow margin in the night's first race. The same two horses finished first and second when they returned for a second trotting race of the evening.

Wavzeka, owned by De Long, with driver Josiah Miller in the sulky beat the 2-minute barrier in its second victory of the evening at 1:59.2. The 4-year-old mare edged out Ak Up N Atem in both races.

Karatop Mooss made a late pass with Wand driving to secure the horse's first win. The 3-year-old mare then won a second race for horses having not won $15,000 lifetime.

California owners and trainers Tremblay Stables and QKS Racing, who stable in Rice Lake during the summer, split wins in pace with conditions of non-winners of $8,000 in the last four starts. Nathalie Tremblay of Tremblay Stables' horse Ragged But Right with driver Mel Mullet beat out Dance Traveler in a two-horse race in 2:00.2. Ragged But Right was scratched when that same return race returned for its second go-round, leaving Dance Traveler as the only horse on the track, giving QKS Racing and Quentin and Kimberly Schneider a victory.

In Wednesday's action, three horses — Townline Vickielou, Itll Be Fine and Intimidation — had matching times, fastest of the night, in winning races. In the first of two free for all pacing events, Intimidation, with driver and owner of Todd Warren of Illinois, winning in 1:58.4 over Commanding Officer and Antetokounmpo.

Magee's Sb Bodacious won the the second free for all pace in 1:59.4, and Magee, from Clintonville in Waupaca County, was also in the sulky as Wilamar Spark won the free for all trot in 2:04.4.

Itll Be Fine, the 5-year-old gelding owned and driven by Canadian Richard Landcaster, matched the fastest time of the night in winning the category for horses having won more than $100,000 in their lifetime. In the race for non-winners of $100,000 lifetime, Townline Vickielou, owned by Elson Miller of Ohio, also finished in 1:58.4.

QKS Racing's Howl at the Moon was a Wednesday winner, as was Hooked on Phonics, driven by Daniel Roland, and Teachmehowtotory with Nick Roland in the sulky. De Long added another victory at the fair with Yf Rocket.
