Mikana man dies after saving grandchild
A 71-year-old man apparently drowned near the Mikana Dam on Red Cedar Lake Saturday afternoon, June 29, according to Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald. The victim was lost shortly after 2:30 p.m. Saturday after he went to help a child struggling into the water, the sheriff reported in a press release.
