Charges include child molestation, possession of child pornography and incest. A former teacher’s aide who worked in the Cassville R-IV School District is currently in custody at the Greene County Jail. Makensie Koehler, 33, was booked into the jail on behalf of the US Marshals Service on Monday, June 24, and indicted in the US District Courthouse in Springfield on Wednesday, June 26. She is facing a federal charge of possession of child pornography and is also charged in Barry County with child molestation and incest.

Thieves steal truck, tools from Purdy Special Road District
PURDY, Mo. (KY3) - The Barry County Sheriff’s Office and the Purdy Police Department are investigating the theft and arson of city property. The theft happened on Tuesday. Investigators found a burned-out truck on a farm road. They realized the truck had a Purdy Special Road District sticker. Investigators later found the thieves had broken into the district’s garage. They noticed the theft of tools.

Former Missouri teacher’s aide charged in federal court with child sex crimes
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A former southwest Missouri teacher’s aide is now charged in federal court for possessing child pornography. Makensie Koehler, 33, worked as a teacher’s aide for the Cassville School District and resigned in March 2024, around the same time the Barry County Sheriff’s Office began investigating her.
