The Hudson Historical Society presented Hudson’s eldest citizen with the Boston Post Cane during a ceremony held at the Hills House on Sunday, July 7. Martha Smith, a Hudson resident since her birth on Nov. 30, 1924, was the eleventh recipient of the cane in town. CONWAY — A motor vehicle crash on July 12 resulted in a fatality and a fire when a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck collided on East Main Street at about 3:57 p.m. Conway Police Department officers arrived at the scene to find a 2022 Peterbilt tractor pulling a 2009 Manac trailer had collided with a 2002 Ford F150 pickup truck.
Teen dies after scooter accident
JAFFREY, N.H.-(MyKeeneNow) A 17-year-old from Dublin died Saturday afternoon when his electric motor scooter was hit by a motor vehicle. Jaffrey police were dispatched to Dublin Road near Gilsun Road in Jaffrey just after 1 p.m. for a head-on collision involving a car and an electric scooter, according to a news release. The teenager sustained serious injuries and was flown to UMASS in Worcester, where he succumbed to his injuries.
