Skateboarding accident sends man to hospital
DUBLIN, N.H. – (MyKeeneNow) A skateboarder was seriously injured in an accident in Dublin late this morning. Dublin Fire & Rescue responded to a call at 139 Old Marlborough Road just before 11:30 a.m. There they found the 22-year-old man with his skateboard in the road, unconscious. It was determined he sustained a serious head injury and DHART was requested. There were no witnesses to the accident. The patient was transported to Concord Hospital. Franklin councilor makes proposal to add capital fund for roads to city budget
FRANKLIN — This city could create a fund for road repair and improvement if a proposal to leverage a particular charter is approved by two thirds of the council next Monday. The proposal, made by Ward 1 Councilor Ted Starkweather at a June 28 special meeting, would add $500,000 of capital reserve funds to the city's budget for the 2025 fiscal year for road repair and improvements. In the future, such funds would be included within the operating budget.
