Band of the Week: Williamstown High School Band
WILLIAMSTOWN, W.Va. (WTAP) - The Williamstown High School Band was chosen as this week’s Band of the Week. The band has around 41 members, each playing a multitude of instruments. They are currently preparing for the upcoming football season, where they will perform during the halftime show. Williamstown High School Director of Bands, Jed Corra, remarked how this year’s band is one of the hardest working bands he’s taught.

PARKERSBURG — In the Class AAAA debut here Friday night at Stadium Field for host Parkersburg, the Big Reds of head coach Matt Kimes played into Saturday following a two-hour weather delay and came up short to Morgantown, 24-13. Picture This: Bhati Receives Scholarship
PARKERSBURG — Isabel Bhati, a recent graduate of Parkersburg High School, was selected to receive a $2,500 STAR Scholarship from the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She was recommended by P.E.O. Chapter Q in Parkersburg. The scholarship was established in 2009 to provide funds for exceptional women in their final year of high school to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the next academic year. Women who demonstrate excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities and community service compete for the scholarship. Bhati is attending Duke University. Athens hands Gallia Academy their second straight loss against a TVC opponent this season
GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WOUB) – Facing off against their second TVC opponent of the season, the Gallia Academy Blue Devils hosted the Athens Bulldogs. The Blue Devils would end up losing their second straight game of the season, 55-6. Looking to bounce back after their week 1 loss after the Meigs Marauders, the Gallia Academy Blue Devils hosted the Athens Bulldogs at Memorial Field.
