It took some clutch offense from Trey Alexander for the Nuggets to avoid a collapse in their Summer League finale, a 91-82 win over the Pelicans on Saturday in Las Vegas. Denver saw an early 23-point lead dissolve in the final minutes. Then, Alexander scored or assisted 10 of Denver’s final 16 points. Bullets flew Sunday near Fort Collins’ City Park as a driver involved in a single-vehicle crash nearby exchanged gunfire with responding Fort Collins police officers. According to the Coloradoan, the incident, which began around 12:41 p.m. Sunday, left both an officer and the driver injured, according to a Fort Collins police news release around 4 p.m. Sunday.
