Self-proclaimed patriot and mixed martial arts superstar Colby Covington is at it again, trolling LeBron James for his alleged disloyalty to the United States.
The former interim UFC welterweight champion recently uploaded a 1:19 video criticizing the 2024 Olympics . With James playing for the U.S. men's basketball team at the Olympics and Team USA's flag bearer during the opening ceremony, 'Chaos' found a way to include Los Angeles' king in his social media rant.
"You have Captain I Hate America LeBron James bestowed the honor of carrying the stars and stripes?" said Covington. "When I heard that he was going to be the one carrying his country's flag, I thought it was going to be for China."
Covington had a lot to say about the Olympics
Talking smack to LeBron was just one of Colby's agenda in his video as he criticized the Paris Games from start to finish. First, he talked about the organizers mocking the Christian faith by 'pushing pagan agenda and demonic imagery' during the opening ceremony.
He also echoed the athletes' complaint that they were made to sleep on cardboard beds in the Olympic Village. Covington also lashed out at the Olympic Committee, allowing 'females with XY chromosomes' to compete in the female boxing tournament. But of course, his longest rant was against King James being the flag bearer for the United States.
"What happened, LeBron?" Covington continued. "Did you finally give equality and justice to all those children and women sowing your shoes? Did you bring those jobs back to the [United] States? Or would that mess with your profit margin."

Colby called out LeBron for disrespecting the National Anthem
Last December, the 2013 Submission Grappling world champion also denounced the Kid from Akron because he was caught on camera walking to his seat while the U.S. National Anthem was playing. The incident happened when LeBron attended one of his son's collegiate basketball games at USC.
“If you hate America so much, and you don’t like this country that gave you a billion dollars – leave it. Or come deal with me. Go to China. Go to these sweatshops where you employ all these laborers and use these women and pay them pennies on the dollar to make your millions. Fu*k you, LeBron James. You’re a coward. You’re a spineless coward and you’re a bit*h,” Covington said at the time .
Colby's issue with Bron is the latter's association with Nike , which has long been accused of using sweatshops in China to produce its shoes and apparel. However, King James is a mere endorser who wears these products, just as Colby and the other UFC fighters wear the promotion's official gear made by Reebok; their products are also produced in Chinese factories. So, maybe the UFC fighter should water his own garden before looking elsewhere.
