The friendships created during the 2024 Olympics could lead to the formation of the next NBA superteam.

With the Paris Olympics now in the rearview mirror, the 2024 U.S. men's basketball team members have returned to their respective teams to prepare for the upcoming NBA season. But while their next meeting would be as rivals, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton believes some will team up soon.

"There will probably (be) something that comes out of it," said Haliburton. "I definitely got recruited, but I'm not going anywhere."

    Staying loyal to the Pacers

Hali will stay in Indiana for the foreseeable future after signing a five-year $260 million extension in 2023. Tyrese is coming off a season where he led the NBA in assists and earned his first All-NBA selection.

With Haliburton having the best year of his NBA career, the Pacers won 47 games and ended a three-year postseason drought. Indiana also reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2014 but was swept by the Boston Celtics.

Hali knows how difficult it is to play against a more talented team in the playoffs. That's why he tried to get reinforcements in Paris.

"I recruited every guy on that team, basically," he added. "Anyone that wants to come join us in Indiana, I'm all for it."

    Steph and LeBron joining forces?

Still, the biggest story from the Paris Olympics is about LeBron James and Steph Curry potentially teaming up before their careers are over.

Steph recently clarified that he removed the Golden State Warriors from his Instagram bio and changed it to Olympic gold medalist because he was proud to be an Olympian . The 36-year-old also recently signed a one-year extension with Golden State, which indicates that he wants to finish his career where it began.

It is still unknown whether Curry and James will team up. Meanwhile, Hali also said he developed a great relationship with Steph in Paris.

"Me and Steph were texting the other day and that's unbelievable for me because that's a guy I looked up to when I was in middle school. To have that as a real relationship now, I think, is really cool," the Pacers guard added.

Haliburton did not say which Avenger teammate recruited him to play for his team. Could it have been Steph? It's possible. After all, the Warriors would use his help as they enter the 2024-25 season without realistic hopes of winning the title.
