Stephen Curry has stayed loyal to the Golden State Warriors throughout his NBA career. During his stint with the Dubs, the Baby-Faced Assassin led the organization to four NBA Championships.

After a somewhat underwhelming 2023-24 season, Curry donned the Team USA colors for the first Olympics of his career. Despite struggling for a few games, Steph got into the groove and dominated the final two games of the competition.

While Warriors fans celebrated their star's excellent offseason performance, the 2x NBA MVP gave them a scare. Yes, after winning the first gold medal of his Team USA career, Curry removed the Dubs from his Instagram bio.

Steph clears the air about removing Warriors from his Instagram bio

During the Paris Olympics, Chef Curry formed an amazing bond with none other than his longtime NBA rival, LeBron James. The two legends led Team USA to its fifth straight gold medal. Following the competition's end, many speculated whether Curry and Bron would join forces for their respective careers' final stretches.

The rumors got more fire upon Steph removing the Warriors from his official Instagram account bio. However, the 10x NBA All-Star finally explained the reasoning behind his actions to Emily Chang of The Circuit.

"I was just proud to be an Olympian," Curry said.

The 36-year-old's response will certainly put many fans at ease. In hindsight, Steph's actions are understandable, as this was his first and possibly the last time being an Olympian gold medalist .

Curry has no plans to leave the Warriors

Many NBA insiders and fans were excited about a potential LeBron-Steph pairing. It was reported that the two stars could visit that path in the summer of 2026. However, Curry made it clear in the same interview with Chang that he doesn't want to leave the Warriors.

"That's the plan," Curry responded to being asked if he intends to stay with the Warriors forever.

The 2022 NBA Finals MVP is a man of his word, and his recent actions also back those claims. He made headlines after signing a 1-year, $63 million contract extension with the Warriors. The new deal will keep up with the Dubs until the summer of 2027.

In addition, he will become the first player in NBA history to earn more than $60 million in a single season. Lastly, he will join LeBron James and Kevin Durant as only the third player to earn more than $500 million in salaries. All things considered, it has been one hell of a summer of Curry.
