Kevin Garnett is often considered one of the greatest power forwards of his generation. The Big Ticket played 21 seasons in the NBA and was quite a consistent player. He maintained his place at the top of the league, which was evident as he was a 15-time All-Star.

KG knew his consistency was one of his biggest strengths. He was considered a superstar during his Minnesota Timberwolves days and kept playing well through his years with the Boston Celtics. He is the optimal power forward who would thrive in any era, including today's NBA .

"How consistent I've been able to be. Consistency is the big thing that I work on. I don't like to fall off, I don't like to look at things like…um, I pride myself off consistency," Garnett said to SLAM in 2006. "It's very hard night-in night-out to get things done, and I find a way to do 'em. I hope I don't jinx myself or whatever; I'm just keeping it real. One thing I'm able to say is I've been healthy, and I've been able to be consistent."

Garnett was a beast on either end of the court

KG was among the best players in the league because he was elite at almost every facet of the game. He loved scoring buckets and used his wide skill set involving his signature face-up mid-range jump shot or the dunks he would get. Garnett was always an automatic bucket when he was being softly guarded.

At the same time, Kevin won the Defensive Player of the Year award once and was considered one of the most versatile defenders ever. He could guard big men in the paint and be physical with them, but he had the athleticism and basketball IQ to keep up with smaller players. His ability to be a defensive anchor and leader is a testament to how good he was on that end of the floor.

He did not have much success during his Timberwolves days, but Kevin was always at the top of his game. Garnett was such a good player that people were debating between him and Tim Duncan, who is arguably the greatest power forward in NBA history. KG deserved his flowers, and thankfully, the 2008 championship has given people a reason to shower him with praise.

KG always challenged himself to stay consistent

The 2004 MVP was also one of the most headstrong players in the NBA. He was never thrown off his game because he always motivated himself to be the best player. Garnett was always a tough player to go against because he was always ready to prove the opponent wrong.

"I have expectations of myself. I do know if I don't do or if I don't bring a certain level, nine times out of ten our team is not going to move. Even though I have teammates around, the team obviously can do things without me, but it helps to have me there," KG continued.

Having that kind of attitude is what made The Big Ticket such a good player to have on the team. Boston was the luckiest team to have him because he won them a championship. Still, he deserves for his consistency throughout his career, from the Timberwolves stint to the Brooklyn Nets days.
