The WNBA is having a season all basketball fans will remember. Despite Caitlin Clark and Angel Reyes getting the most buzz, the end of the season belongs to league veterans, and last night, one of them made a shot any hooper lives for.

Sabrina Ionescu , one of the best shooters in WNBA history, summoned her inner Steph Curry and hit a logo three-pointer to seal Game 3 of the Finals. The shot was a beaut, showing that her range is as deadly as that of her NBA colleagues.

    Great All-WNBA Second Team performance

New York Liberty is one game away from winning a title in history's most viewed WNBA Finals. This year's matchup has an 80 percent higher viewership than last year's. With this game-winner, we can only expect that even more basketball fans will tune in for the next one.

With Game 3 coming down to a wire with the result tied at 77, Ionescu dribbled a ball a few times, created a slight separation, and hit a three-pointer. She finished the game with 13 points, and Breanna Stewart added 30 for the NY squad.

"I trusted in my preparation; I am built for this moment; I missed one that could have sealed the game," she said while reliving the shot moments after the game. "I just got an open look, and I trusted I can make it; my teammates got me open, and God, it feels good to get a win."

Post-game, the former first-round pick stated that the job is not done and they have a championship on their minds, which would be the first one in their history. When asked about her performance, Sabrina had a cheeky one-liner appropriate for the night she will forever remember.

"That was just a great All-WNBA Second Team performance, that's it," she said .

    The basketball world took notice

Ionescu's shot was the talk of social media, with pundits and players applauding her and the "clutch gene" she certainly has.

As fans, we can only hope that the next game will be as thrilling as the last one.
