LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL News) - Hyundai vehicle owners in Louisiana may need to check their fuel pumps after a recall notice from the company that impacts nearly 55,000 vehicles. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the automotive company is recalling certain 2019-2023 models of Genesis G70, Veloster N, Elantra N, and Kona N because of problems with the fuel delivery system.

A Ruston man was arrested last Saturday morning after he allegedly beat and strangled his girlfriend. Ruston Police officers responded to a Center Street apartment where a woman told them her boyfriend, Brandon Stripling, 30, had demanded access to her cell phone.
