The School District’s HVAC Project Met with Supply Delays
NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – Delays in supply deliveries have upended the district’s plan to complete the much-waited for and referendum-funded districtwide HVAC upgrade project this summer. Business Administrator James Testa gave the project update at the Thursday, July 25 Board of Education (BOE) meeting. Testa explained that he attends construction meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, and project foremen every two weeks. The latest meeting was on July 24. President of Berkshire Furniture, Eric Bernstein Passes
Eric Bernstein, President of Berkshire Furniture, passed away after battling cancer. He was 55 years old. Bernstein’s company, based in Springfield, NJ, is one of New Jersey’s oldest family-owned furniture stores. Originally named Bernstein Furniture, Eric’s great-grandfather Solomon Bernstein opened his first store in 1903. Eric Bernstein joined his father, Lawrence, at Berkshire Furniture in 1991.
