    Merry Market in March: See when, where, what tickets cost

    GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) — Get ready for the ultimate shopping experience at one of the largest Christmas markets in Louisiana.

    This year’s Merry Market will be taking place from Saturday, March 9 to Sunday, March 10 for its first annual spring market.

    According to a news release, there will be over 250 booths for shoppers to browse from. Featured items at the booths include clothing, jewelry, home decor, candles, toys, food, bath and body products and art.

    There will also be a petting zoo, face painting, crafts and an opportunity to meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny in the Kidz Zone, according to the release.

    General admission is $10 and children under 10 get in free. Some of the ticket proceeds will be going towards The Sparrow Foundation, according to a release.

    A VIP experience is also available on Saturday from 8-11 a.m. for $25. Mimosas and Muffins will be included in the VIP shopping experience, according to a release.

    Free parking will be available for shoppers.

    The two-day event will be held at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center, which is located at 9039 S. St. Landry Avenue.

    The market will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 9, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 10.
