BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Cold, refreshing drinks are becoming more popular as the weather in Baton Rouge gets warmer.
Coffee bars and brunch places are starting to serve spring-themed drinks. They have floral flavors like lavender or rose.
Local businesses like Coffee Joy are launching spring menus. They have colorful beverages, like their Strawberry Blossom . It’s a blend of strawberry, vanilla and matcha.
These drinks can be paired with sweet treats such as cheesecakes, cupcakes or cookies. There are plenty of bakeries to try in the city.
Whether you want something iced or hot, these places have spring drinks that are ready to be enjoyed along with the nice weather.

Lavender is a flavor that can be ordered throughout the year at 7 Brew but it’s a main ingredient in the Cloud 9 Matcha Latte. The latte also has vanilla in it.
City Roots Coffee is bringing in the spring with its new matcha latte. This drink is an orange blossom vanilla matcha latte with rose-infused condensed milk.
City Roots also has the Vanilla Rose Latte, a freshly roasted espresso latte with vanilla rose sweeteners and rose petal garnish.
Honeysuckle Cold Brew from Magpie Cafe
Magpie Cafe has three spring drinks, including its Honeysuckle Cold Brew, a cold brew with house-made honeysuckle syrup, topped with sparkling water.
The Pistachio Matcha is another option and is made with your choice of milk, pistachio syrup, and crunchy pistachio topping. The latte comes iced or hot.
The Purple Pineapple Spritz is an iced king crimson tea shaken with pineapple juice and agave, topped with sparkling water.
Lavender White Chocolate Latte from CC’s Coffee House
CC’s Lavender White Chocolate Latte is made with floral lavender traipses, creamy white chocolate, espresso and steamed milk.
The drink can also be ordered as a cold brew.
This drink is a shaken cold brew espresso with Crème Brûlée sweet cold foam. PJ’s has two other spring drinks such as the Honey Brûlée Velvet Ice and its Strawberry Rose White Chocolate Latte.
This pretty drink is a matcha with house-made strawberry syrup and garnished with dried strawberries.
Light House Coffee Bar also has a Hummingbird Latte made with house-made herb syrup with lavender, thyme, rosemary, mint, local honey and garnished with an edible orchid flower.
Reve Coffee Lab’s spring menu includes the Violet Lady, a Ube matcha topped with sweet cream and toasted coconut flakes.
Another option is the Blackberry Chip Mocha which has blackberries, mocha and sweet cream.
