BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — TikTok food critic Keith Lee left a generous tip at an all-day breakfast spot in the LSU area on the first stop of his Baton Rouge food tour .

Fork N Spoon , a restaurant on Brightside Drive owned by two sisters, got a $3,000 tip from Lee after his visit. One of the owners said the amount is “life-changing.”

“Oh, he came to the best place, yes,” said Keneth Knox, a loyal customer of Fork N’ Spoon.

In the food review video , Lee said he spent $37.40 on several menu items. He rated a maple bacon berry toast 7.9/10, an order of loaded grits 7/10, a scrambled egg breakfast bowl with brisket 8/10 and a banana berry french toast 7.5/10.

The video has 102.1K likes nine hours after it was posted.

Lee complimented the restaurant’s customer service but said he was going to “take it with a grain of salt” after noticing the online hype surrounding his visit.

After the video was uploaded at midnight Wednesday, a new rush of customers are coming to the business, but also loyal customers, who are grateful for the spotlight for the business.

“God this food is so good, it’s so affordable. The portions are like insane,” said Brianna Wesselhoff, a customer at Fork ‘N Spoon.

Kristen Abshire, owner of Fork ‘N Spoon, described the experience. She said Lee ordered the food 10 minutes before closing time Wednesday and he placed an order with items such as grits, French toast. He even came back with a tip.

“They told us the customer service was great and that they wanted to leave a $3,000 tip, which was insane,” Abshire said.

Fast forward to Thursday after the video dropped at midnight, Abshire considers the Keith Lee effect is a real thing.

“Like in the first hour and a half of the day, we made like triple what we would usually make on a Thursday,” said Abshire

Now as Keith continues his food tour, Abshire sends out a message of gratitude to Lee.
