    - Brian Kelly offenses - no matter who the coordinators are - tend to do big things. LSU finished last year No. 1 in the nation in total O, was 28th in 2022, was explosively consistent at Notre Dame, and now the bar is set very, very high.

It won’t crank up over 7,000 yards this season - 1) it won’t have to with a slightly improved defense, and 2) there’s no Jayden Daniels - but it’ll still be great.

Garrett Nussmeier is a veteran who saw just enough time over the last three seasons to be ready to handle the attack, and Vanderbilt transfer AJ Swann is in after throwing 22 touchdown passes over the last two seasons.

    - Another season, another year of replacing elite LSU receivers. Malik Nabers is a New York Giant, Brian Thomas is a Jacksonville Jaguar, and that puts the pressure on Kyren Lacy to do even more after finishing third on the team with 558 yards and seven scores.

Mason Taylor is a strong short-range pass catching tight end, Chris Hilton is a deep threat on the outside, and Liberty transfer CJ Daniels is coming off a huge season averaging over 19 yards per catch with ten scores.

    - Jayden Daniels was the star of the running game with 1,134 yards and ten scores, and leading running back Logan Diggs is gone, too, heading to Ole Miss. The combination of Josh Williams, Kalen Jackson, and John Emery should be able to get things moving behind an elite line, and star recruit Caden Durham should get some work.

The O line might be the team’s biggest strength. Will Campbell could be the top offensive tackle off the board in next year’s NFL Draft - he’s on the left side.

Emery Jones is a top NFL prospect on the right side, and the interior is talented, too, but needs redshirt freshman DJ Chester to be terrific at center. Miles Frazier has next-level upside at one guard spot.
