Flau’jae Johnson Of LSU Drops Debut Album Featuring Lil Wayne Collab, ‘Came Out A Beast’

Flau’jae Johnson joined forces with Lil Wayne on “Came Out a Beast,” a new track featured on her debut album, Best of Both Worlds , which is available now.

Best of Both Worlds features nine tracks. The 20-year-old Atlanta native’s project also features collaborations with rappers NLE Choppa and 2Rare.

Meanwhile, Flau’jae continues to shine as a basketball star at Louisiana State University. Lil Wayne, who is a Louisiana native, showed his support for LSU Women’s Basketball when he narrated a 2023 hype video during the team’s Final Four appearance.

Throughout Best of Both Worlds , Flau’jae pays tribute to her LSU team, particularly her former teammate Angel Reese.

“Keep a double I feel like I’m Reese…I got me a natty/ I got me a ring/ I ain’t switchin no sides I’ma ride with my team…I go to LSU and I be reppin’ it like I’m Joe Burrow,” Flau’jae raps, per WBRZ’s report.

As Blavity U reported, Flau’jae released the cover art for Best of Both Worlds earlier in June. The cover, which shows the rapper looking up toward the sky at two planets, illustrates how Flau’jae juggles basketball and music.

“I am so excited to let y’all into my world, juggling music and basketball hasn’t been the easiest journey for me, but it has definitely been the most rewarding. I love you all,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “This Project is gonna Change My Life and I can’t wait to experience this journey with you y’all on June 28th. But for now I dropped ‘Pop It’ which is on the project so y’all can have something to listen to until it drops!! it’s out on ALL platforms and you might see a little surprise on the project when you go stream pop it.”
